Tawa Pulao

Ingredients (serving 2 people)
- 1 cup boiled rice (~200gm)
- 2 medium tomatoes (finely chopped)
- 1 large potato (boiled & chopped)
- 1 small capsicum (finely chopped)
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 1/3 cup green peas (can use fresh/frozen peas)
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tsp pav bhaji masala
- 1/3 tsp each of turmeric powder & garam masala powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil
Recipe
- Heat a pan & add oil. Add cumin seeds & let it fry for a few secs.
- Add finely chopped onions & fry for 2–3 mins on medium flame.
- Add ginger garlic paste on low flame, mix well & cook for another minute.
- Add green peas, chopped capsicum & mix well. Let it fry for 2–3 mins on medium flame.
- Reduce flame to low; add turmeric & red chilli powder and mix well. Let it cook for a minute.
- Add finely chopped tomatoes & mix well. Cover the pan & cook for 3–4 mins.
- Now, add boiled potatoes & salt. Mix everything well & cook for 1–2 mins on medium flame.
- Add boiled rice & garam masala powder. Cover & cook for 3–4 mins on low flame.
- Turn off the flame. Add finely chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice & mix well.
Your Tawa Pulao is ready to be served!
